If you have been following me for a while, you know I like easy recipes, and this is no different. When I became vegan I found a lot of complicated recipes, where I didn’t have the ingredients, this is partly why I created this blog, to share easy and delicious vegan recipes!

These vegan brownies are super easy and only require 8 ingredients. They are a healthier version than traditional brownies, and this is why you will not find a lot of butter or sugar.

They are super simple to make, you just mix the ingredients together and pour the mixture into a baking tin! In this recipe, I topped them with chocolate chips and pecans but you can top them with whatever you prefer, or nothing.

These vegan brownies with yoghurt are:

  • Super easy
  • Indulgent but also healthy-ish
  • Gooey and chocolatey

What ingredients you will need:

  • Dairy free yoghurt (any type should work, I used plain diary free yoghurt)
  • Flour, plain or wholemeal
  • Maple syrup of another sweetener
  • Oil, vegetable or olive oil
  • Cocoa powder
  • Baking powder
  • Chocolate chips/chunks and pecans for garnish

Step by step method

First combine the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and chocolate chips and mix to combine.

Now add plant-based yoghurt, maple syrup and oil and combine.

Pour into a baking tin, spread evenly then top with more chocolate and pecans.

Bake at 180C for about 20 minutes. Let cool down and enjoy! I hope you like them as much as I did!

How long do these vegan brownies last?

These vegan brownies will last about 5 days in an airtight container at room temperature. Freeze them to enjoy them whenever you like!
